Most orders are claimed within a few hours, but occasionally you’ll see “Waiting for Tailor” longer than expected. Here’s why—and what you can do.
Typical time-frame #
- 90 % of orders: accepted within 4 h
- Peak times (Mon mornings, pre-holidays): up to 24 h
Common reasons for delay #
Reason | How it affects you |
---|---|
Special fabric or complex work | Fewer tailors are certified for leather, heavy coats, or multi-service orders. |
Incomplete details / blurry photos | Tailors may skip jobs lacking clear instructions or images. |
High demand | Surge periods mean tailors’ queues fill fast. |
Low declared item value | Extra-high insurance vs. low price can deter tailors. |
What to check #
- Photos — are they bright, front/back/close-up?
- Alteration / Repair details — specific measurements or damage description?
- Fabric type — did you tag it correctly (Standard, Denim, Leather)?
You can’t edit the order, but you can cancel for free while still in “Waiting for Tailor,” then resubmit with clearer info.
Automatic safeguards #
- Order stays open 48 h max.
- After 48 h, Support reviews and may recommend tweaks or split services to speed up acceptance.
Need help sooner? #
Open My Orders ▸ Need Help? and choose “Tailor hasn’t accepted”. Our team will review and suggest the fastest next step—often updating photos solves the issue.
Once a tailor claims your job, the status changes to “Tailor Accepted – Awaiting Item,” and you’ll get an email notification.
