When a Garment Is Unsuitable for Repair

< 1 min read

Some items can’t be repaired to a safe or quality standard. Orders will be declined or cancelled if the garment has:

IssueWhy we can’t accept
Severe fabric rot / dry-rotStitching won’t hold; fabric tears further.
Heavy mould or bio-contaminationHealth risk to tailors and shipping handlers.
Large oil, chemical or paint stainsCleaning is specialist work, not tailoring.
Synthetic PU leather flakingMaterial disintegrates; patches won’t bond.
Missing major sections (e.g., half a sleeve)Requires re-manufacture, not repair.
Fire or melt damageFibres are weakened beyond stitching.

What happens if you send one anyway?

  • Tailor marks Job Failed (Customer Issue) – Returned.
  • Item is shipped back; 10 % admin fee + return postage deducted from refund.

Unsure?

Upload clear photos in the order form and mention “Is this repairable?”—Support will confirm before you ship.
